Card transaction to a merchant outside system

Suppose, If I issue Marqeta cards and the user goes to merchant and transact who is not part our system, who is not listed in our businesses, what will happen? Can we still process the transaction?

Hi @hafiz . It can depend on how you want to manage merchants on the Marqeta platform. You can deny all merchants and approve a list of specific merchants, or you can allow all merchants and decline a specific set of merchants. If you allow all, and are using Gateway JIT, you can create additional logic to approve or decline merchants based on your needs. As long as the merchant is allowed on the Marqeta platform, the transaction can still be processed.
