Dynamic MCC Transfer

Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to dynamically change your mcc code depending on the type of transaction being processed for eg, if I am an e-commerce platform selling goods from target, then is it possible for me to change my mcc code to relay this information to the FI to then correctly charge the transaction as being done on target and not on this e-commerce platform ?

Hi @tanishgoel, thanks for your question. Unfortunately MCCs can not be dynamically update since they are assigned to the merchant upon business registration. The MCC will reflect whichever merchant the sale is coming from. If the end-user is connected directly to Target for the sale, then it will reflect Target's MCC code.
